 ROLLS 2 roll version: both idle (pressure) and drive rolls, fitted with gears for a better wire feeding, are mounted on sleeve bearings. 4 roll version: the idle (pressure) roll is a ball bearing, whilst the drive roll is mounted on sleeve bearings. The drive roll, with large diameter of 37 mm, can be easily replaced without using any tool and has two different wire grooves. Easy operation The idle (pressure) roll bracket lifts up automatically when released (Autolift), for an easy access when replacing the wire and/or the rolls. In the 4 roll version, the wire pressure can be separately adjusted on each bracket to obtain a more precise wire pressure adjustment. Graduated numeric scaleThe wire pressure is adjustable by means of a graduated scale knob which allows the precise reading of the set parameter. The calibrated spring, inside the adjustment shaft, remains pre-set even when the idle roll bracket is released, thus keeping the wished pre-set wire pressure unchanged. Simple maintenanceThanks to the utilisation of many common and interchangeable parts between the 2 and 4 roll versions, the number of necessary spare parts for service on the new wire feeding units has been contained, also because each roll can be used for 2 different wire diameters. Rolls protection coverA metallic cover, hinged in the wire feeding mechanism, protects the operator from any accidental contact with the drive roll gears. During the quick roll replacement it is sufficient, once pin fixing screws are removed, to pull down the protection cover without removing it completely. |
