MFT

This type of transformer is used in medium frequency machines for spot, projection, seam and butt welding.
Depending on the requested current requirements for the welding application, multiple transformers may be placed in parallel to increase the current level.
The principal advantages compared with 50 Hz three-phase solutions with six-phase wave rectifier, is the ability to reach a lower machine volume for the same energy capacity as in the 50 Hz and the ability to have greater control of the welding process due to the possibility to act over 1ms as opposed to the 20ms in alternative current ( concentrated heat input ).
Every MFT tranformer has:

• Primary circuit temperature monitoring
• Rectifier block temperature monitoring
• Integrated diodes in secondary
• External protective conductor jumper
• Integrated current transformer
• Large copper sections and high perfomance diodes
